Anatomical Regional Targeted (ART) BOTOX® Injections for the management of migraine headaches, occipital neuralgia, and chronic daily headaches by Dr. Bardia Amirlak. Lessons learned from migraine surgery and cadaver dissections resulted in Dr. Bardia Amirlak doing research in the area of BOTOX injections and modifying previous injection techniques. The preliminary results of the unpublished study from UTSW shows fewer side effects, less injections needed, and better response if the BOTOX is injected closer to the nerves and the tender areas versus the previously designed injections (PREEMPT technique).
