Anatomical Regional Targeted (ART) BOTOX® Injection for Management of Migraine Headaches , Occipital Neuralgia and Chronic Daily Headaches by Bardia Amirlak, MD, FACS, Assistant Professor, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX USA. Lessons learned from Migraine Surgery and Cadaver Dissections resulted in Dr Bardia Amirlak doing research in the area of BOTOX injection and modifying previous injection techniques . The preliminary results of the unpublished study from UTSW shows fewer side effects , less injections and better response if the BOTOX is injected closer to the nerves and the tender areas versus the previously designed injections ( PREEMPT ) .
